Professional courier first ISO certified company
The Professional Couriers, which became the first ISO9001: 2000 certified Indian courier company, will go public at the end of 2009. The company, which has a turnover of Rs. 400 million in 2007-08, plans to lease six freighters after the IPO. At a press conference on Wednesday, Thomas John, Managing Director, said the company is targeting sales of Rs. 500 crores in the current financial year. At the moment, the company had begun a reverse merger in North India - by acquiring the franchisee companies - by investing Rs. 25 Crore. Mr. John said the company will open its first international office in New York next month, followed by offices in Dubai, Singapore and London before October. For this, a subsidiary, Professional International Couriers Pvt Ltd, was founded.
